Every Hermes handbag has the iconic “Hermes Paris Made in France” stamp somewhere close to the opening of the bag. This stamp will come in gold or silver to correspond to the hardware of the given bag. On the contrary to the Hermes stamp, the date stamp for these bags are a “blind stamp”, meaning it won’t be eye catching, and it could go easily unnoticed if you don’t know what you’re looking for.
When a friend and I connected on our love of fashion and designers, she told me about purchasing from a reseller. You mean... you can buy used purses? How do you know they are real? I started doing research. I will admit, buying that first thing, it is scary. It is a big investment, and a big financial commitment. I went to this website and filtered by “price: low to high” and looked for something my stomach could handle.

If you are here, I bet you already have your list of dream bags or “The One”. Yes, us luxury lovers can refer to a bag as “the one”! On the pre loved market you have access to multiple brands and price points. Also, once certain styles or seasonal colors are sold out in boutiques, you still have a great chance of finding that bag, or even having it sourced for you. It is a wonderland of beautiful pieces and perhaps a bag not even on your radar will steal your heart, and there it is, ready to be yours!

I’d rather buy on the preloved market. I’m not shy to buy preloved, whether it be a very vintage 90s piece to a ‘like-new’ 2020 piece. I can take my time to select the bag I want, compare price points and conditions. The preloved market is a positive thing to consider when being faced with further inflation pricing from your favorite designers
Sometimes I buy brand new from boutique and more oftentimes, I buy preloved. The preloved market has something for everyone- both luxury lovers and value seekers. When the stars are aligned, it’s a magical experience! Almost like destiny, to be able to find your preloved item in your desired style, condition, and price point.
