The long wait is over! The much anticipated Louis Vuitton x Murakami has officially and gloriously returned. It brings one of the creative forces behind what redefined luxury fashion in the early 2000s together in a joyous reunion. The re-edition, released in January 2025, marked this celebration for the 20th year since the original release to bring back the Monogram Multicolore and other playful motifs designed by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami.

It was the first collaboration of its kind that ushered Murakami's kawaii aesthetic to luxury fashion. His pop art rainbow-colored monogram and playful characters, such as the cherry blossom face, transformed Louis Vuitton products from mere classics to highly coveted collector’s items. Creativity is power, as such inspirations, combined with a dedicated pursuit for high quality, will only secure Murakami's status as one of the leading contemporary artists. Murakami is Louis Vuitton's longest-standing collaborator, and he continued in the brand's future in 2025.

The re-edition collection has grown upon the initial collaboration with over 200 pieces, representing the eternal attraction of Murakami's artistic vision. Monogram Multicolore pattern in 33 different colors with greater brightness and precision thanks

For Murakami’s 2025 re-edition campaign, American actress and singer Zendaya was chosen as a Louis Vuitton house ambassador. She poses for Inez Vinoodh who captured the youthful energy and bold spirit of the Louis Vuitton x Murakami collection. It's a coming together of generations, a moment in which that spark captured a then-eight-year-old girl into what was going on in fashion all those years ago. This re-edition is both memory and promise, an invitation to revel in color, fun, and a sense of ongoing reinvention.
